 Luther Water

This is a more open water and quite easily fished with fly, better brown trout have been turning up with improved feeding due to weed in the river.

If water conditions are good sea trout will run from the Esk from mid May and grilse from June.Back end salmon in September and October are normally a bit coloured and returning fish is recommended.

Bervie Water

This is a slow water to get going and even the trout can be mid May before they start rising. If the river has spates from mid May sea trout and grilse will run the river bigger salmon are normally end of August if the mouth of the river is free from shingle that can gather at Inverbervie, a spate sorts that out.

The Bervie is a category 3 river and all migratory fish must be returned. Small repalas of various colours always worth a cast.
